FIRE-RATED ROLLUP SERVICE DOORS

Rollup fire doors are rated structural fire barriers that help block the spreading of hazardous fire and smoke by compartmentalizing a building space and keeping the event isolated. Many buildings today mandate the placement of rolling steel fire doors as a standard safety precaution.

The Smoke Guard Model 4000|perimeter (M4000) is a code-compliant fire-rated assembly designed to function as a vertically deploying opening protective requiring no corner posts. This perimeter curtain may be configured in a closed, box-like, condition or in a multi-faceted open-ended configuration with or without side-guide captures.

The curtain panel angle may vary from 30° to 150°. The M4000 features fire-rated pleated curtain mounted within a steel housing. The curtain assembly can be equipped with an obstruction sensor in the bottom component detect impediments to the deploying screen. M4000 comes in a standard galvanized finish. RAL powder coat color options are available for an additional charge.

System Description

The M4000 is a pleated curtain that is stored in headbox which is generally installed above the ceiling. The curtain can also run off a building’s standby power system. When deployed, the curtain can cover openings up to 15 feet drop and 220 feet length. These dimensions are highly adjustable, and the curtain’s panels can be joined at angles ranging from 30 to 150 degrees, which allows for custom installations. The curtain can integrate with local smoke detection systems.
